Taking waste to the transfer site or one of the landfills?

All loads must be covered or secured to alleviate loss on the way to the landfill.

You may purchase netting from Birch Hills County to ensure that the contents doe not litter the Country Roads.

PUBLIC NOTICE

Attention Farmers

Birch Hills County is now offering a recycle program for your used grain bags; you can bring them to any of our landfill / transfer sites. Please note bags must be rolled up.

Accepted At Landfill

When taking the following items to the landfills please place them in their designated areas.

Wood
Appliances
Tires
Propane Tanks
Batteries
Metal
Chemical Jugs
Grain Bags

Tangent and Wanhan sites accept chemical jugs. Jugs must be triple rinsed prior to disposal.

Not Accepted At Landfill

Concrete disposal
Concrete is not accepted at any Birch Hills County Landfills.
Used oil
Used oil is no longer accepted at any Birch Hills County Landfill sites.

Used oil may be returned to the UFA or your supplier for recycling.
